Our Mission

About

Wildacres is a 17.5 acre Nature Reserve, Honey Farm and Biodiversity Education Experience in East County Wicklow on the beautiful Redcross river just a few kilometres from stunning Brittas Bay and only minutes from the quaint rural village of Redcross.

We have a variety of Tours, Walks, Workshops and Courses for you to choose from and some fabulous produce to purchase including our delicious raw honey….

We are an Environmental Social Enterprise on a mission to restore Irish biodiversity and to inspire and help others to do the same.

Our Vision

To make Ireland a country that cherishes and protects all our native wildlife, and takes measures to restore a healthy, functioning natural environment for future generations.

Our Mission

Wildacres is on a mission to encourage and inspire people throughout Ireland to protect wildlife, nature and our environment, to halt and reverse the decline in biodiversity, and in doing so to reap benefits for the health and well-being of all species.

We will work with individuals, businesses and communities to empower them with practical knowledge on how to improve and rejuvenate biodiversity levels in their area. We will continue to enhance Wildacres Nature Reserve for the benefit of biodiversity and we will share our experience and inspire others throughout Ireland to develop a ‘Wildacres’ initiative in every county nationwide.
